My equipment got stolen again. Despite telling the college to replace the lock and reinforce the frame after the last break in.-****ing Bull****!

    W&w winact-black
    W&W winex limbs-40lb
    12 Triples
    Spigarelli Carbon 30 sight-black
    2 beiter 10inch shortrods-blue
    Angell II tab
    Black beiter v-bar
    Spigarelli pressure button
    Bowstand
    bow square
The actual case itself(the metal ones)

My longrod and quiver was left.

Basically, someone walked in past all of the zero CCTV cameras the sports hall has, forced the lock on the door, picked up the case and walked out unnoticed by our ever vigilant and always alert "24 hour security" i.e. three guys and a truck.
Security must be commended though for their recent strict enforcement of parking regulations in the college, at least they donate their time to the important things.

You really are a tactless moron.... Kicking someone when they are down is really brave.

considering that the college apparently has 24 hour security and they said they were going to change the lock and fix the frame i thought it would be safe enough, also the case was pretty heavy= pain in the ass carrying it up and down from college.
It shouldnt come to that, considering our suppossed head of security is an ex superintendant youd think hed be fairly familiar with security and make some sort of effort. In the last 6 months the changing rooms have been robbed at least five times and sports lockers maybe 3 or 4 so they clamped down on illegal parking. Head banging against brick wall springs to mind. thanks for the help though.

Imagine, if you can, for a second, that it was your gear that was stolen, and this was the response you received when you told people about it. How would this make you feel?

Have you, at any point, made any positive contribution to this forum?

I think you should be banned from this forum, your posts are consistently of little merit.

Ohhh get you Renegade being all superiour again, and bye the way if it were my equipment stolen from the same place as last time i would be the first person to call myself a fecking idiot. Another thing i wouldent put equipment in the room that previous equipment was stolen from, unless it was renforced and the locks changed, ya know like?

Also people should learn that in this country that the majorty of security quards weather thay be office or other establishments guards are utterly useless!!!!

AceCarey is banned for a week for getting personal after I'd warned someone else for doing so. Anyone else namecalling on this thread will be banned also.

Sonic, I feel for you: it sucks when some scumbag nicks stuff, especially something as personal as your archery rig. :(

That totally sucks having equipment robbed!!!

Would you have the serial number for the riser? We'll watch out for someone trying to flog it to any of us in Galway.

Think this re-inforces the idea that someone brought up recently about logging all the serial numbers of the major equipment to a central database. Won't help us keep the equipment from being stolen but could make it harder for the ponsey thief to off load it.

dont unfortunatly. still think that cases should be left in thief friendly locations, but rig the case with either explosives or bacteria that causes extremly embarassing illnesses-or both.

I'm in the process of setting up a database and plan.
I'm not sure what way to go about the codes as not all makers put serial codes on the risers.
    Would you be willing to:

    A) Scribe a code into your limb pocket?
    B) Punch the code into the Limb pocket with metal punches

The limbs would use the makers ID serials.

Any ideas for marking the other apparal, ie. Sights, Stabs etc? i had thought of codes on them too.
    I'll have sample pics soon.

Hard luck sonic might want to keep an eye on the buy and sell. Theres been a bit more archery related selling on it then I've seen in a while

Jesus Sonic, some folks have all the luck.
Tempting as it is to insult somebody here, i think i'm gonna have to refrain...

I agree whole-heartedly with the idea of registering all equipment, and as it happens, most of the club bows in DIT already have stuff written on them from the previous club there in the mid-90s, but having everyone's gear marked and registered is a good call.

    Hi,

I'm on the committee in UL Archery club and we would be interested in looking at whatever system might be come up with, e.g. an IAAA registry of equipment.

Just wondering if this is still being worked on, as if it's practical and doesn't cost much to put in place, we may be interested in taking a look. Definately a good idea in principle.

Perhaps you could PM me about it. :)
