Anyone known if NTL are going to add Setanta Golf to their stations?

I know Chours are adding new setanta channels which will include the new prem. games for next season, normally NTL and Chorus do the same thing with regards to adding new channels

I rang NTL last week. They told me that talks were ongoing with Setanta, but that they hadn't a definite date for the launch. However, they did say that it "should be in a week or two"..

On the button Mountjoy about on going talks with Setenta but just take the week or two thing with a pinch of salt.Probably trying to thrash out a deal if it just gets added to the Setanta pack or as a stand alone channel you'll have to pay for. Should be interesting to see if it adds to the price of the current Setanta pack.

They did indicate that it will be priced at the €10 mark - I read this as being part of the existing package.

I mailed Setanta also last week, and this is their response:

Thank you for your e-mail. I can confirm that NTL customers in Republic of Ireland receive Setanta Sports Ireland as part of their basic subscription pack. Customers can upgrade to receive a further six channels by paying 10 Euros.

Chorus customers do not receive Setanta Sports Ireland as part of their basic pack, they can upgrade to Setanta Sports Ireland by calling their operator.

At this point in time the full (including Golf) Setanta Sports pack is not available on either cable provider, customers should continue to contact NTL and Chorus and check for availability in the future.

Setanta Sports has made the Setanta Sports pack available to both NTL and Chorus and is supporting both companies to provide this to their customers in the future. Please note that the decision is with the cable operators at present not with Setanta Sports.

So, we just have to sit it out, it seems.

Which is extremely odd, considering how much play has been made on Setanta Ireland being free with NTL.

The latest news from C.S. is they hope to have it by the end of March. Fat lot of good to those who were hoping to see Harrington this weekend..
