Folks i want to get a cobble patio put down, about 50-60 sq yards, would anyone have a rough idea the price of materials and labour, also at the moment i have a liscannor stone patio, about 30 sq yards at a guess, am i better off just lifting this and chucking it away in a skip or spend some time cleaning it and try and sell it off, is there a market for second hand stone ?

    thanks,

    oleras

definitely worth trying to sell on the liscannor, cleaned or not (decent power wash should sort the top anyway)...

As for CobbleLock we had a 28 sqM cobblelock (1/4 circle) laid, it cost 50 Euro a square metre supplied and laid... excellent job and v.cheap imho..

suppose price depends on where you live.. the guys we got came from Thurles..

Finally got around to measuring it up and will be calling around for prices and designs next week, 110 sq yrds in total, undecided at the moment between cobble lock and a flagstone type, the one that has 3 sizes, yellow colour, have seen it on tv but unsure what its called, anyone know ?
Would anyone recomend someone they know of in and around the limerick area ? Have looked at pavemaster.ie and they seem good but would be much happier with personal experience.

€ 170/sq m for Liscannor seems like a premium rate, is there something special included?

I would assume at that price he is carrying it on his back from Co.Clare ! :D

I gave away about 60m2 of Liscannor a week after my OP !

    hey

i'm looking to get some liscannor patio slabs, these are an artificial slab that roadstone use to make but they discontinued it about 2 years ago. they are 40cm*40cm*4cm

do you still have yours or for that matter does anybody else know of somebody looking to sell off an old set

    cheers

I gave all mine to a friend. but i have heard of people dumping it, seems you cant give it away, people just dont want it as a patio anymore, more the raised beds and steps stuff now.

i am sure you could pick it up handy enough if you were willing to take it away.

Hi I was just quoted 60 euro a square meter to just lay paving slabs. I have to supply all the sand, slabs, grout and hardcore myself. This seems a very high labour cost. What do you think?
