I have had the 1pp tag in my sig since shortly after it begun, i have had limited success at the tables but am showing a small profit, i probably owe a nominal fee but i do owe it none the less. I know ocallagh has made several contributions, but I also think that there are several boarders who have signed up, won a few quid, but not paid a penny (maybe im wrong). from what i can tell its still very difficult to pay into this fund, do casinos offer a service as was discussed originally. is there a non credit card way of transfering money? one suggestion i have is if 1pp set up a pokerstars account and plyers can make player transfers when it is appropriate. any other suggestions?

I owe a few quid but the last time i spoke to BigD he told me(with face was all contorted at the time and not just his usual frown) to hold off for a while as he's having problems registering the charity despite his best efforts.

On a side note seeing this is Q&A i signed up with a self created notion it was a 12 month pledge. I'll do the same this year for another 12 but because i intend to win a WPT event sometime in my life it would sicken me if i got a tap on the shoulder in 12 years time by the bid dragon breathing down on me for his 1% of x million after me paying all my backers!.
So basically im suggesting is it would be a good policy for 1pc that when signing up fpr 1pc to be asked to commit for 12 months only and then have the option to renew?. This might even get more donators?.

Ok, Dave's away skiing at the moment with all the money and having a ball with some lapdancer call Cilla.....

    Only kidding....

We've had problems getting a bank account set-up, you wouldn't believe the forms involved and I'm meant to be looking after the accounts, what have I got myself into.

After that we've had further problems getting a charity tax number from the revenue, so the long and short, we've not got the charity fully set-up yet. We have taken donations and I think there's a couple of k collect already, I've always given my winnings to Dave which we've get seperate from other accounts etc.

We are planning to make a re-launch of the charity early this year, get it into the casinos and tourneys around the country etc. I'll arrange a Q&A sessions with Dave when he gets back and we'll take on board Rounders idea, you miserable git.

So I'll say no more for the moment as this is mostly Dave's baby, but there is so much work involved, we have set-up a board of trustees, ie me, Dave and 2 others, who I wont mention at the moment, unless they want to identify themselves.

    Hope this helps.

    Ollie

P.S. thanks for all the support so far, even Rounders....lol

it was more of us going the wrong way about it and not knowing all the ins and outs before hand, we also tried to save on cost doing it on our own, when it would have been easier to pay to get it done. Live and learn....

I have just given Dave the money over the last year or so. For 2007 i have decided to keep a strict poker tracker of my poker etc., so at the end of January i will tot up same and give Dave the money in February for January and so on..... I know he is working on getting the account set-up and it's a great thing to pledge to, win more, donate more. etc., etc.,

Hopefully i can donate money every month:rolleyes:
