Does anybody know when you go on a skiing holiday for a week (on a package deal) if this includes snowboarding? That is, can you go snowboarding for a couple of days instead of skiing or would this cost more when you get there?

We are heading to St Johann in Austria and were thinking of spending a couple of the days snowboarding as well as the skiing.

Generally you pay for ski hire for 6 days. Some rental places will allow you to swap for snowboarding gear for a couple of days, sometimes for free, sometimes for a small charge. It really depends on the place that you rent the skis from if they'll allow you to do this.

    Best ask the tour operator.

That's really just between you and the hire shop when you get there and I've never had a problem swapping between sets of ski's before, although they might want an extra couple of of quid if you only booked a basic hire package with the tour operator.
