I have 2 freeview boxes working perfect...Im in North Cavan on the Monaghan border and have a good terrestrial reception, but most of my neighbours cant get freeview-I gues you could just hook up the box and try as long as your aerial is pointing toward Enniskillen..
trial and error, but if you knew somone who would let you try their box then at least yiu would know....dont put the Freeview box in a TV cabinet, keep it on top of tv or beside tv if possible as there is a stronger signal that way,,
good luck (Prison Break on ch 5 at 10pm on freeview):D

At present they do, but if you are to receive the Irish DTT trial with a UK box, things might change, as the spec of the boxes has not been agreed. We should know in a month or two when the trial goes onto the next stage.

If you live close to the border, you may be able to receive Freeview from NI. You location relative to the border is crucial, like Cavan as mentioned.

Freeview isnt satellite, so this might be better in Terrestrial.

Sounds like something is conducting a wee bit of heat there, muincav! :D
