    I raise to 4 UTG + 1 with German V1rgins
    2 callers

    Flop 3s 8s 5d (Pot 12)

    Villan leads for 8, I call as does CO. (Pot 36)

    Turn 7c

    Villian Leads for 16, I call, CO folds. (Pot 68)

    River 7s

    Villian Checks... whats my move?

    I should have been more forward with my question!

    Does anybody value bet the river? Why? Why shouldnt I?

    Looks to me like the bet on the turn from Villain was to try and scare you off;

    His check on river was either weakness due to fearing that you have trips or getting a flush draw; that or he's trying to trap you into making a bet, at which point he will shove possibly leaving you feeling pot committed and following him in.

    If you're last to act I would check and get away from this hand having taken as little damage as possible, the pot is big enough for me with a weak hand

    Any info on Villain? Is he the type to bet an 8 on flop and turn then chicken out on river? Does he bet his draws?

    Depending where Villain is on the scale from loose-agg to tight-passive I'd value bet or check behind.
