    Hopefully someone can help.
During the bad winds the clip holding the lnb snapped and the lnb came away from the arm. I slipped it back on and used a locking nut to hold it in place...success as the sig' quality went back up to 70% on both boxes. All H and V channels now ok with no dropout during rain or wind. However, I got a new 37' lcd a week earlier and since I fixed the lnb I've noticed slight 'blockiness' in fast and fairly fast moving images.
Could this be down to the skew of the lnb ? The lnb doesn't seem to have moved in it's collar. When I was re-fitting the lnb I noticed the weight of the quad pulling the arm down a bit and when I lifted it slightly it did bring it back from 50 -70% so a result I gave the dish a very slight nudge up to compensate. Readings are based on manual tuning rather than the default frequency.
The only thing I can think of is that the skew might be just a little too much clockwise...then again maybe I'm wrong !!! Prior to the storm I had maybe 80-85% sig' quality. Any help would be appreciated.

If the signal is at 70% while you are observing this then its not signal.
More than likely just the size of the lcd showing up the quality of the picture being broadcast.

Compare MTV picture quality with BBC for example and you'll see what I mean.
That said some LCD panels are worse than others, I've a friend with a cheapo one and it goes blocky even without much movement, but doubt that is the case here.

Only way to test for sure would be to put a similar sized screen of a different brand/type (crt versus lcd for example) and see if there is any difference (I doubt it if its only on fast moving images).

Thanks Longfield...maybe it is just down to the channel and it's bit rate.

I must be getting picky in me old age.
