It works the same a a gas lighter once the mag is full you will see the gas spray out from the top of the mag instead of going into it

Maybe try the Paintball ranges. There is one near Limerick called Combat Zone. Other then try http://www.irish-paintball.net. Some of the more dedicated paintballers might know better then I.

thanks for reply maxforce but can anyone give me some quick info.
My mum will be in dublin tomorrow, and Im going to give her my paintball marker's CO2 canister, where in dublin will refill it with CO2 for a few euro.

Need solid info as live in the west and dont go up to dublin too often. So if anyone can give me a place in dublin thats conveniant to get to and refills any co2 canister.

I think mines a spyder sonic, not sure, thats how long i havent had co2 for!!!!

Also, just wanted to know if its alright to get the co2 tank filled, as I said previous I havent used to gun in a few years since Ive brought it back from America. Just wondering whether its sae to get refilled still, I am pretty sure its a kingman sonic gun I have. The connection to the co2 canister has a pin in the middle.

Anyway just want a place that will refill, please reply soon.

there should be a hydro test date printed on the bottle, check that to see if it's safe to get it refilled. no shops i know will fill it, but any paintball site around dublin will, there is crossfire in enniskerry that will do it for a fiverr

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,401 ✭✭✭shortys94

I bought it around 5 or six years ago, and havent used it in about 3 years.
I cant see any hydro test date, so would it be safe to get it refilled? It wont explode or anything?

its a java paintball gear tank if that makes any difference

they should last longer than that, is your mom in a car?

yea she'll be driving back down to the west, but getting train up, shes picking up a car. Just dont want the co2 canister to explode when they try to fill it, ive no idea about safety regarding the canisters.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 828 ✭✭✭whupass

right well if she goes to crossfire in enniskerry (not THAT far from the m50) they'll fill it for a fiver just get her to ask if it within the hydro test dates

darn, there was no one there to fill bottles, so I will try westport. Doubt theyll fill bottles though.

Can i just ask what happends if they tr to fill the canister and its past the hyrdo test date

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 828 ✭✭✭whupass

    COULD (i stress could) explode

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,401 ✭✭✭shortys94

O right, so in other words your stressing PROBABLY WONT
Right so, Il give it t te gu t refill and just sy Im off to the bathroom cuz odds are the people in westport wouldnt know what a hydro test date is

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 960 ✭✭✭Harekin

Hydro test date is where they submerge the CO2 canister in water and check to see if any bubbles come out of it, thus indicating a leak. Its pretty much the same as you would do with a punctured tyre to see where the burst is.

Having never had a GBB, about how long do you get from a canister and an average size mag. I know there is someting to do with temperature effecting the density of the gas etc.

I was looking at that all metal 92f today and it looks very impressive. It was that or a USP.

Mags very a lot due to temperature. Ideally some can last for two whole refills of bbs. Sometimes if its cold enough you'll only get half. They're very tempermental.

I really haven't a clue how many fills you'd get out of an average bottle. I remember reading a number somewhere but can't quite remember. it was somewhere between 25 and 35. i THINK now. It may be much higher.

I bought a bottle back in September. Still half full. Although that's an extreme case as I don't use it that much.
