One tip I thought I might share for anyone who has Vista and MCE is that you may notice Vista no longer auto log's onto an account even if their is only one account on the system.

If using Vista MCE as a HTPC this can be an unwelcome development but you can fix this issue.

Step1: Press start and type in control userpasswords2 into the run box & press enter

Step2: This will bring up a new screen showing the users select your admin account.

Step3: Untick the box for users must enter a user name & pass.

If you have a password on the account it will prompt you to confirm the password so once done press okay and close it. When you reboot the system it will automatically login to the selected account & load MCE.

    Cool thanks.

If I may, user should not use an admin account, even those who know very well Windows.
Just as good practice to avoid getting different stuffs on your PC from internet, well on Vista you are getting a confirmation popup, but still.
User should be using a Lambda user account and then use RunAS when needed (Install a program or so).
