OK so a lot of you are broke or often go broke. One tried and tested method of getting back in the game is harassing people on poker sites, especially for some reason Full Tilt. However begging alone is never guaranteed to be successful: it's better if you can somehow show off your talents and earn a few quid instead. Some of you good-for-nothings could take a leaf out of this man's playbook:

TDeuel14 (Observer): Anyone be kind enough to
    transfer me $10 please?
RoundTower: if you write me a cool poem
    TDeuel14 (Observer): ok
TDeuel14 (Observer): nj4thst betta whatch out
    round towers about to devour
    TDeuel14 (Observer): opps
RoundTower: i was thinking something more like
    Homer's Odyssey
TDeuel14 (Observer): nj4thst better whatch out
round towers about to devour hes gunna take all
your chips in stack em up like a tower phil ivey
cant even compete hes got him begging to stop at
his feet hes the man that you cannont beat
    RoundTower: thats pretty good actually
    TDeuel14 (Observer): ty very much
RoundTower: tdeuel, do you know what "ars
    gratia artis" means?
    TDeuel14 (Observer): na
    TDeuel14 (Observer): i can find out y
TDeuel14 (Observer): im act reading the illiad right
    now
RoundTower: what character would you see me
    as?
    TDeuel14 (Observer): hmmmm
    TDeuel14 (Observer): odiseus
    RoundTower: ok well done
    TDeuel14 (Observer): ty lol
RoundTower: ill send the money immediately
    TDeuel14 (Observer): thanks man
TDeuel14 (Observer): you good at poems?
TDeuel14 (Observer): or just like them?
    TDeuel14 (Observer): thanks man
TDeuel14 (Observer): ill pay it back
RoundTower: no but i like to read them
TDeuel14 (Observer): you read julius ceasr?
    RoundTower: yes
    TDeuel14 (Observer): *cesar
    TDeuel14 (Observer): wierd one
RoundTower: seen it in the theatre too
RoundTower: or is there a poem>
    TDeuel14 (Observer): very cool
    TDeuel14 (Observer): i havent
    TDeuel14 (Observer): any good?
RoundTower: no the performance i saw wasnt great
RoundTower: but it is a good play
TDeuel14 (Observer): its strange i thought
TDeuel14 (Observer): did you send it?
    RoundTower: just sent it there
    TDeuel14 (Observer): thanks man
TDeuel14 (Observer): ill pay it back
    RoundTower: good luck to you
    RoundTower: and remember
    TDeuel14 (Observer): ty u too
RoundTower: neither a borrower nor a lender be
    TDeuel14 (Observer): :)
RoundTower: for a loan often loses both itself and
    friend
TDeuel14 (Observer): you make that up thats good
RoundTower: no i didnt make it up
    RoundTower: sadly
RoundTower: i expect you will come across it again
TDeuel14 (Observer): well ill b talking to u soon
TDeuel14 (Observer): gl n ty again
    RoundTower: gn teuel

    How could I refuse that?

    Ha ha,
    priceless

    for everything else there's mastercard......

His rhyming was still pretty poor however, I reckon as a poker community we could come up with a far better hook for RT then "j4thst better whatch out
round towers about to devour hes gunna take all
your chips in stack em up like a tower"

    or how to spell Odysseus.

I bet it wasat the point that he likened you to Odysseus that you decided to give him the money...

    You should rail him now.

there will be a gang of them following you around now given you poems, you'll never be left alone....lol

Its funny, would find it hard not to give a few quid after that.

How about a "Poem for Rich Roundtower" thread to rival the "Song for Poor Cardshark" thread. Submissions please.

not too surprising he couldn't spell odysseus, considering the rest of the chat...

Round Tower devour - We want mau-er. Nice post made me laugh. Let's hope he turned the $10 into something a little more substantial.

His rhymes are just about on par with prahlad friedman's "poker rap" if anyone's seen it.

    Nj4thst better watch out,
Roundtower's about to devour, he's more deadly than jack Bauer.
When he raises, you'd better cower, he's like phil ivey
but louder. Cant even complete, he's got him begging to stop at
his feet. He's the man, that you cannot beat.

    anon

Good luck with that Roundtower :D
I think you've just made him a professional poet...and quite a successful one, sold his first poem. I loved the random have you read Julius Caesar? And then the correction to spell it phonetically. Pure gold. Well posted sir.
