    Hi all,

Am just curious to see if any one knows anything about getting legal work in America?

I have just finished my degree there last May in Software Development and am working for a company in Galway. Am really looking to make a change to America for a couple years and just wondering does any one know a way to go about it??

Would it be the case of getting sponsored or is there other ways??

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks :D

i tried this myself and it was very difficult. You can find yourself spending weeks trying to sell your self to the comapany over the phone.at the moment im trying to transfer through the company im with now, which is an american comapany in galway.it would help if you had a green card.sorry i cant be any more help.

Green card , marry an American, own $10 million+ of property or the company has to not only pay to have you moved over they also need to show that there is no one in USA who can and want to do the job. To do this they need to advertise multiple times in national magazines for the specific skills that you are going to offer (and the skills have to be relevant for the position). This is from the top of my head when I was looking into it a few years ago.

It really limits it down to specialists and with 1 year work experience you're not really meeting any such criterias and hence you probably need to look else where.
