I could teach you to knit, but it would mean travelling to Waterford. Can I make a suggestion, why not make a few enquiries locally and find maybe an elderly person or even a young mum who is stuck at home and would love the opportunity to communicate with someone and do something useful. Once you have been shown the basics all you can do is practise, it seems a pity to put a sociable activity onto a commercial basis.
