We didnt get Frilk in school we used to either get milk or some disgusting yoghurt drink, I think it was called something stupid like "Benny Bunny" or something. It was horrible.

I was only thinking about Frilk the other day. We used to get it in School, I loved it. It was milk mixed with orange juice sounds iffy now.:D

Yeah, AFAIK there was a product called "Benny Bunny". We used to get it in National school - it always had a taste that would make me want to throw up. It was a very thick solution - a lot like drinking yogurt. Not a nice taste at all.

As regards Frilk, I never heard of it.

We got regular milk in school (cyclists on the carton, don't know the brand, Champion maybe?). I can't say I remember Frilk, I do remember a horrible orange+milk drink but that was more recent.

Ohh yeah! I thought it was nice, tastes like actimel! :p

Is it still around or has it been abandoned? :(

Long dead and buried I should hope there were probably more E numbers in that stuff than in an entire episode of sesame street brought to you by the letter "E"

I remember an orange one called smooth and juicy. It had a weird ad where a cartoon cow and a n orange were dancing/romancing, but the cow (complete with swingin udders) was the male of the couple and the orange wore lipstick.

When I saw this thread I had to reply, I have a vague recollection of "frilk" being a combination of fanta and milk?

We just got big standard cartons of milk - no yogurt drinks for us in Longford

We used to get just ordinary milk or strawberry milk. Can't remember the brand. May have been Avonmore. I was mighty peeved when I found out they did chocolate but they didn't order any for our school :(

wasn't there an orange drink in a triangular carton?

Don't think it was available in schools?

Think it might have come in an orange milk carton

It was a mixture of Fresh Orange juice and milk (supposedly, not so sure about the fresh part!)

And it was only hideous! And amazingly enough did not last long!

Frilk was made by Premier Dairies in the 80's.....on the site in Finglas that is now Premier Square

It was Orange Juice and Milk. Actually, tasty stuff as i remember......

Ah bring back the 80's. I'm gonna trow away my mobile. we lived better lives back then!!!!

Yeah, I remember it. Think it was out around 1989...orange juice and milk. It didn't appeal to me. Smooth and Juicy was more recent, it was orange juice with milk products added I think.

No memory at all of Frilk. Cool Crocker vaguely rings a bell.
