    Hi,

a friend is selling one of these and has given me first refusal.
I've seen the unit - it's a few months old but in mint condition.
There were only some photos added to it, no music / videos etc.
It has a DTT / freeview tuner built in which I would poss use as I do travel to the uk now & again (also handy for when DTT eventually becomes available here ) .

The spec on the archos site looks good.

One feature I do like is the USB Host Port as I could transfer images in RAW format from my digital camera should the memory card run out of space allowing me to take more pics in one outing.

Friend is looking for €350 for this, it's €500 new on the archos site.

Pixmania have the tunerless version for €400 & expansys have the 100GB without DTT tuner for €720.

Found these prices for the exact unit:
    Shop Ireland - €625.76
    eire-shop.com - EUR590.05
I've also found refurbished ones on ebay going for around €200.

Does anyone have this (either with or without the DTT tuner) that could recommend / deter me from buying it?

If anyone has it is it possible to connect this to an analog tv signal / digital box and record directly or does the tuner only take DTT signals?

thanks for any info you can give
