Hey will be moving to Cork City around July and August. When is the best place to meet some new people. Looking to meet up with anyone don't know the area and not that many people for that mater. Will be working somewhere near Penrose Wharf. Can anyone tell me what is around there. Also where is the best place to find housing. Is it better to get housing outside of the city. What is the night life like. Any ladies interested in a 21 year old guy that has a job??? That was just on a side note!!

check out the social group thread on this forum BGarvey, seems like its popular!

housing - depends really, check out daft.ie and similar, for where you're working you're prob better off getting somewhere around town or summerhill north/old glanmire road direction. ucc/college road direction will have a lot of houses for rent, but living with students mightn't suit you if you're working full time.

nighlife is good, tues and thurs nights are student nights, but town is busy enough really most nights - thurs to sat is always a good run!

best way to meet people is either through that social group type thing or join some kind of club/organisation. depends on what you're interested in really!

best of luck with the move!
