Comodo Firewall & eMule

Anybody here a specialist of the Comodo Firewall? Basically it's blocking the eMule TCP port (34912) and it's probably blocking the UDP port also (6173) but I'm not sure of that, eMule doesn't test the UDP if the TCP fails.

I told Comodo that eMule was a Trusted Application. I made sure that all actions were Allowed (TCP or UDP - In or Out) with any Destination IPs or Ports, etc. But I'm still failing the eMule Port Test!

And I know Comodo is the culprit because when I disable it I pass the test!

Could you please shed some light on this annoying issue? Thanks a million! :)

open the ports manually. Either do it in the firewall, or on your router. preferably both.

www.portforward.com will show you how to do the router.

    Hi Anti,

Well, I don't have a router (so that's sorted) but I looked in Comodo and nowhere I see where I can open up ports. I scrutinised the help files and found nothing! :(

Is it under Security->Network Monitor? You can modify (or create a new one) the rules there perhaps.

Tried everything but I can't get Comodo to open these bloody ports!

Googled it and most people are having problems with P2P and Comodo... I read the whole thred in different forums and when I get to the end, no solution...

    Damn it anyway!

Does anybody here use eMule successfully with Comodo Firewall?

just use another client where you can change the port in the program, or change your firewall. best option tbh.

Well, the test is successful when I disable Comodo and activate Windows Firewall so I guess I can do that when I need to use eMule... Not ideal, but it's some kind of fix!

Thank you for your help guys! :)

have a look at this link it may help http://forums.comodo.com/index.php/topic,25.msg111.html#msg111 it worked for me and remember to move your new rules above the block rule

if you go into application monitor on the main screen double click on the app and choose allow all activities for this application. that worked for me! you can also configue specific ports in the same place if you do not feel comfortable allowing everything.

ALLOW TCP IN FROM IP [Any] TO IP 192.168.1.2 WHERE SOURCE PORT IS [Any] AND REMOTE PORT IS 4662

ALLOW UDP IN FROM IP [Any] TO IP 192.168.1.2 WHERE SOURCE PORT IS [Any] AND REMOTE PORT IS 4672
That worked beautifully! :D Thanks Fitzdragon!

The only minor draw back is that I have dynamic IP so I'll have to update this rule every time I reboot my modem. But it's better than switching off Comodo! :p

    Thanks guys!
