In june 2007 this Landrover want from Dundalk to Wicklow and back again with out stopping

    Now THAT is impressive.

It does look very well kept, and some series III afficionado will probably pay the asking price ...

... but not because of "the sales talk"

The Defender is by far the most reliable LandRover - by LandRover standards, that is.

Haha, maybe he's talking about fuel economy and meant to say "without stopping for petrol"
What distance would that round trip be? 400 miles? 300?

Lol, was there an elite team of mechanics on hand?

Have a weather station?, why not join the Ireland Weather Network - http://irelandweather.eu/

    Chauffe, Marcel, chauffe!

At the time I was in the Army, all Landrovers were being replaced by Merc G-class 4WDs. Much to the relief of high ranking officers who were driven around in them. Much to the relief of anybody really that ever drove one or was a passenger in one but not to the mechanics! First off they were pretty much out of a job and the fact that whatever went wrong (indeed things went wrong on an hourly basis) with the Landrover was quickly and easily fixed

And of course the G-class was no match for the Landrover on any seriously bad terrain

    You must be yoking ?

Three separately lockable diffs ...unless you sink it to the windows in mud or perch it on a tree stump, the G-class will go anywhere the Landy will ....and then some.

Still ...for serious off-road stuff there's always the Unimog

Not joking. The G-class got stuck several times, admittedly in extreme mud (several feet deep) where the Landrover pulled out without problems

I've always liked that Unimog BTW :)

Dundalk to Wicklow (Town) = 90 miles - 180 miles round trip. Hardly impressive.

It must have been awkward at junctions and traffic lights, considering that they didn't stop. :D

25 years old with only 91k miles but described as being used 24/7.

    Nice find peasant!

    it also starts first time
and in all fairness why would ya dive from dundalk to wicklow without stopping there must have been a reason to go there
