I got an iPod for xmas and I have a quick question about something thats been annoying me.

When i put some albums onto my iPod, the songs go on in the wrong order even though I have the track numbers correct!!

Does anybody know what causes this or knows how I can stop it??

ipod is putting them in alphabetical order i suspect? if you create a playlist for the album in itunes and put them into the playlist in the correct order then it will be preserved(or putting the track number at the start of the title)

No its not in alphabetical order

Also, I would rather not put the number in front of all the tracks, it looks messy

Anyone else hav suggestions?

you can change the track order using itunes. Click view options and track number. Then click on the track view column and the music is sorted using the track number

SwingKing u didnt quite get what I meant.......all the track numbers are correct in iTunes and are in the right order in iTunes, but when I put the albums onto my iPod some of the albums have the tracks in the wrong order (Not alphabetical)

no what i mean is click on the ipod icon in the left toobar. You can see all your music. Click on the album that is giving you the problem and sort by track number. This is not the itunes library, but rather the music already on your ipod.
