    Hi
I am doing a project on the evolution of the marketing industry in Ireland over the last 20 years, and would like to get your views on it.
Do you think agencies have replaced many of the functions of internal marketing departments, especially in small and medium companies?
Do larger agencies take all of a companies marketing function?
    What areas remain?
Do agencies typically take companies conference marketing functions?
It seems to me that agencies, when acting as intermediaries between companies and service providers (graphic design, events etc..) seem focused on low cost rather than quality, i think this relates to the short term nature of both thier relationship with their client companies and the high levels of staff turnover in the industry. Do you agree?
Finally what trends do you see comming? customer focused rather than media focused, etc?
    Thanks
    James
