    Hi,
Im looking to find a remote control light switch that would enable me to turn off the bedroom light from bed, without having to get back up, unplug my wheelchair mid-charge and travel across the room.

I found them on ebay but they seem rather expensive at 30+ euro
Anyone know of a cheaper way to do this? (aside from a long stick and good aim? ;) )

I've seen these in B&Q. But I think they may have been more than €30 for switch and remote. But I think that the remote will control multiple switches so you can bring the remote from room to room and control other lights with the remote, if you have a sensor switch in each room.

Yep, B&Q have some on display, I think there made by "Crabtree" for €25-30 and an additional €12 for a remote.
Try Atlantic or Woodies where I've seen an remote and plug in dimmer which allows control over table lamps etc. They cost around €15.
Lidl next Thursday have household electronics, they have a manual socket dimmer which might be what you're looking for.

The B&Q one will work with your TV remote, you just program it to a spare button, so that saves a bit.
The disadvantage is if the power goes off it loses it's memory and you have to program it again.

Is it a room light or a bedside/table light?
You could get one of those ones that "Clap on-Clap Off"

Thanks for the info guys n gals. :)
Yep, the clapper one would be perfect.
(Its a room light not a lamp though).

Checked B&Q, rather expensive at 35 euro though.
