SkyHD Activation

    Hi there.
We got a SkyHD box today to replace our Sky+ box, and called up the number displayed and asked them to activate the SkyHD, calling out the viewing card number etc.

Is it normal that the movies channels aren't working now?, it's telling me 'This is the wrong card for this Set Top Box', seems like an odd error when all the other subscribtion channels work.

How long does it take for the HD channels to work? I think Sky must have messed it up on the phone

Edit: Also, I'm recording King Kong from Sky Movies 10HD, will it be viewable once this is sorted out?

You'll need to ring again, and get the card paired to the new box.

As for King Kong, it may be possible once card is paired to HD box as movies are recorded encrypted anyway.

Are you selling the Sky + box by any chance?

Sorry, we got a second multiroom at the same time and we're putting the Sky+ box where the digibox was, but we might not even get multiroom there now, with BBC and ITV all available without a card.

No record without a valid sub card in the Sky+ box, though.... about as useful as a normal digibox then.
