I've just moved into the city centre (bachelors walk).

My car is inconvenient as there is no parking in the complex. I just use it for visiting my folks and occasionly going to pick up bits @ the DIY store and occasionaly going around down the country for the weekend.

Should i sell the car and get a motorbike? Which one? Honda varadero 125?

Where could i store the bike, i.e. will it be nicked in the city centre at a bike rack say... on oconnell st?

If I was living on bachelors walk there is no way I would have a car.Get a bike a car is just a waste of money for you.

ps:I am selling a 05 125cc Suzuki Marauder if you are interested.

I would say a bike needs secure parking, if not stolen it may get vandalised.

In terms of bike/bicycle ~ Depends where you work - you can always rent a car at the weekends if you need additional transportation capacity.

Bear in mind that when it's icy you shouldn't go near any bike, so alternate transport is a must in this instance.

If your living and working in the centre, and have no secure parking for a bike, then I don't think you need anything. Although probably more boring your feet would service your needs just as well.
