Playstaion has a hard drive media player

    Hi i was wondering did anyone ever get there playstation to play movies , mp3 ....whatever off there external usb hard drive. I have come accross websites claiming it can happen. They use something called swap disc? Has anyone ever got it ? Do mod chips work either? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone could advise on the legality of these items? Cheers.

    Edit: Please can this be kept within the rules, im not interested in "backing up games"

    (Note: sorry to the admins if this thread breaking any rules, i know the items i have mentioned could be used to played copied games but im more concerened only with the other functions they provide.)

    Iv got High Def x264 files at 720p and 1080p running
    on my ps3 from a data disc. Its great.
