Satelite for Austrian Open, down to last 5 players. Tourney pays out 2 tickets for open

    Approx stacks UTg 46k, cutoff 12k, button 24k, SB 31k, BB(ME) 36k.

Blinds 600, 1200 and ante of something like 50 or 100.

    I have JJ.

The cutoff has just suffered a bad beat, he goes all-in, I'm calling here, no question in my mind I'm ahead of his range, then button calls quickly, button is a loose player, he could easily have a hand like 55, A9o etc. I dont like his call but it doesnt change my mind, I'm going to push when it comes to me.

Then while small blind is delaying, the button starts saying GL to the cutoff, saying I got KK what do you have to which the cutoff replies AKo.

This stops me in my tracks, are they actually stupid enough to reveal their hands before everyone has acted, or is this a trick to make me and/or small blind fold?

What do you think, and what would you do?

I would believe the cutoff, there is nothing he can do now, but I reckon the button is having a laugh. I would still push.

if u had kk in this spot would you try to discourage a caller with a weaker hand?

I wouldn't for sure, but then again I wouldn't have flat called there either, if I was going to play there I'd have folded or gone all-in.

regardless of what he said, he flat called half his stack. without any knowledge from previous hands, its a fold for me. any more specifics about the button?

Might as well give ye the answer then since ye were all on the mark. Not like me :(

Fraid to say I bottled it and reluctantly folded, the button had lied but actually had a fairly decent hand TT.

My reason for beliving him was that he seemed a bit cocky and talked a lot, mostly in german and I thought he might have been the type to be so dismissive of others that he would gab about his hand like that, still next time I'll just play my own hand ang ignore the text speech bs.

careca got cutoff spot on he did have AK. the TT won the hand. And as you can imagine I felt sick, winning that hand would have almost done it for me. I thought it was all going to go horribly wrong, like so many times before then. But I did show some b@lls a few hands later when I pushed the turn with air, when I sensed a blocking bet on turn from a weak obvious player and that helped to see me home :D

Button was loose as I say, good boardie type play doesn't apply to him. As I say the ramge I had him on put me ahead of him 80 to 90% of the time. I'm pushing before his speech play, if it was a tight player yeah fine I fold, but not this guy.
