Bootcamp XP Dull Display - Macbook Pro

I recently installed windows XP on my mac book pro using bootcamp, when I log on to XP the display is bright and vibrant then around 10 to 20 seconds in it goes really dull, the brightness and colour go....is their a reason for this? I changed the setting of the graphics card and it can brighten up the display but it does…
