    Heading to Edinburgh in a couple of weeks, anyone recommend some good pubs and clubs in the city centre? Will be there on a Saturday night... any places to avoid?!

    Also whats the cheapest way of getting from Glasgow to Edinburgh (return)? Train seems to be quite expensive..

    For the cheapest return ticket to Glasgow go to www.megabus.com/uk/ I think it's somewhere in the region of 5.50, takes a little over an hour and departs fairly regularly.

    I never really found clubs in Edinburgh great but City isn't bad, it's just behind Waverley station and Faith in the Grassmarket isn't bad either.
    Pubs wise head it depends on what you're looking for. If you want something up market George St area is your best bet, there's some clubs there too. If you're looking for something more laid back I'd reccomend Rose Street, Grassmarket and The Royal Mile. Although some on Rose St. can be a bit manky, its usually just hit & miss.

    If you're a student and/or on a buget I'd definately reccomend The Tron on the Royal Mile. If you're into music try Whistle Binkies also on the Royal Mile.
