    Tribeca 3/6

    I've been playing 23/15
Villain 1 (PFR) has been playing 24/16 and is a general TAG.
Villain 2 BB has been playing 62/4.. and hitting everything. If he hadn't leaked so many chips he'd be up to about 2k. Some areas of his game are awful, but he has showed some skill post flop.

We've all been playing together for about 3 hours this morning and I have a very TAG image.

    Stacks:
    Hero: 710
    Villain 1: 600
    Villain 2: 550

    Preflop
    Villain 1 (Button +1) raises to 30.
    Hero (SB) calls
    Villain 1 (BB) calls

    Flop (90) [2c 4c 3s]
    We all check.

    Turn (90) [2d]
    Hero checks
    Villain 2 checks
    Villain 1 bets 48
    Hero calls 48
    Villain 2 calls 48

    Turn (225) [9d]
    Hero bets $300

What do I have? What would you call me with?

knowing very little, would say you had a high pair/two 9s pre flop, or else you are bluffing which seems unlikely. If I was villian1 I'd call you if I already had a pair of 2s or maybe a straight which he is playing?

    44, 33, 22, 99 or AA??

What I'd call with is, any house, any quads, (probably any straight) and other than those it'd depend on what have your river overbets in the past have meant?? Is this the first one??

I'd probably call with alot of (if not all) overpairs depending on what these River bets mean, but could easily fold AA- here.

OK, then I think you have a house, say 44 (which is my guess), but you might have got lucky with a 99.

I'd call with only 99 or 44 (assuming I'm Villain 1), god knows what the donk will call with

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,537 ✭✭✭Ste05

Also if the donk calls too, I'd probably call with a str8 too and maybe even AA as well.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,158 ✭✭✭BobSloane

i think you've made quads and are trying to represent a bluff with the overbet, hoping that any house or straight will call or even raise.

I'd certainly call with 44,33, or 99. Not with anything else though.

    AA-rr pre.
    44,33- lead flop or turn
    99 - lead turn
22- Gets my vote. An i don't like the line if it is 22

None of these are always true after a 3 hour session, against a rock button, when ocallagh has a rock like image. If so then he'd be very easy to play against wouldn't he?

I know I certainly wouldn't always re-raise with AA here, I might also slow play trips on the flop and let him hang himself with an over pair. 99 I'd be check calling down on the turn. They're all miles ahead or miles behind scenarios.

22 - possible but statistically unlikely so I don't count it.

    Very True Ste.
AA - The call pre is fine. But the check again on turn!!
99 - Same I would never check turn
I also Would never check a set/fh into 2 players TWICE....
    But Quads....maybe
I think Villain 1 PUshed with 99 and OP felt like a champ.

In fact I would never play any of the hands mentioned in this fashion.. sso I vote for none of the above.

Neither would I normally, but after 3 hours of playing with the same opponents, my play is completely based on my opponents tendancies and what they think I normally do and I could do anything in an isolated hand, but certainly my first River overbet will "usually" be with a good hand. Although it's unlikely I'm checking trips twice or checking AA twice, but who knows, what the table dynamics were like, maybe ocallagh had set up a nice situation where a CRAI will get paid off more than a lead out by JJ+??

Right you're all crap at guessing. I had AKo. I don't know if it was a terrible play or not... haven't made up my mind.

Both players took the full 30 seconds before folding.

you have 22. small possibility of 33.

I'd call with 99, thinking I sucked out on your house, as we always want to discount the idea of quads there.

Lol. Fair enough. 10 6 offsuit was closest. Basically I thought you had quads or nothing. Your bet stank of bluff - which is what i said you were trying to represent but I got a step ahead of myself lol.
I should have guessed a bluff as no-one would post a hand here where they scared everyone away on a hand where they had quads.
Do you think it was a good play? What did you put them on? I don't think its a good play but hey...you took it down!

The turn call seems like a pretty big leak imo.

I think that means it was very nearly a bad play, x 2.

    You have 9c2s

    I call with 44

Just read back up through the posts and found your holding. Niall, go to Specsavers. You need reading glasses.

I would rarely play AK like this against 2 opponents OOP, but we had played together for 3hrs and the call on the turn was to set me up for the river. I knew both opponents were weak (I was surprised Vllain 2 called the turn bet actually) but I was confident I could take the pot on the river regardless of what came. I intentionally did not post my starting hand to see what you would all call me with, many people in this thread said only house or better to call so IMO a +EV move.
