I'm going to Canada for the summer on a working visa, I'm just wondering would I be better off sticking with my Irish bank account, or opening a Canadian one when I get there? Will I get ripped off with charges when taking money out of an Irish one using a Canadian ATM? And how easy would it be to just open a Canadian account? Thanks!

not sure what their system is but id say most employers will pay straight into your bank account! they wont pay into an irish account so id say you'll have no choice but to open 1 over there

and yes you would get nicely robbed on bank charges using your irish account over there
