Does anyone know if pay-pal will accept 3v disposable credit cards???

My brothers girlfriend wants to buy him something for his birthday off e-bay and the seller wants to use pay-pal. She has no credit card so it would be very handy if she could use a 3V disposable one.

    Any body know the story?

I use them all the time. Be sure to have the securty code and expiration handy. PayPal will charge you approx $1.00 to use. They aren't the best value, but for those of us without cc's they do work!

    Best regards -

Hey I was wondering where you get these 3V vouchers?

Sorry to steal a thread, but I thought it was better than making a new one for a simple question.

ye have to register with www.3v.ie - they then send you out the card a few days later, and then you can buy credit in shops, and use it to buy goods online.

Warning - be very careful when using 3V vouchers with Paypal, my premier acount was limited yesterday when I entered a new voucher on the paypal system. Spoke to Paypal and there is an automatic limiting of account when more than 15 visa cards/vouchers are entered on the system. They are not able to distinguish between vouchers and credit cards. I cannot use my account to pay for items on e-bay and this is not reversable. It also effected my personal account as well. I hope that I will be able to open a new paypal account.

    Thanks

    Hi Sister Ray

I contacted PayPal and they said that they would look ayt reopening my account again but only if I have a credit card. I am not to use 3V vouchers as they are not supported currently. I dont have a card at the mo so this is not an option for me.

At least they are willing to reopen my account.

    Hope this helps

    Paul

I hear about lots of people using the vouchers on paypal. you are urged to delete the voucher once your finished with it

to be on the safe side only keep about 10 or so at a time (just in case you return a purchase and want a refund of the amount refunded on the voucher etc,)

Did you have all 15 or so on the paypal system at one time or did you delete them when they've no credit left in them? Or is it cos you put a new one on (while removing an old one) for the 15th time?
