    On my way to work this morning and my bike started misfiring so I say to myself "Oh, time to switch to reserve!". So I do and I realise "Oh, was already in reserve!"...

    Had to get a friend to get petrol for me and my hands stink now even though I washed them 4 times!

    Never thought it would happen to me... Always come off reserve at the pump but I must have forgot this time...

    It's the kind of thing you do once and never again.

    Similar things to keep in mind:

    Thinking the kickstand is down.
    Thinking you unlocked the disc lock.
    Thinking you had your wallet with you but then realised after you fill the tank that you don't.

    Reset the trip counter when you fill and use that to figure when you need more juice. I always put €8 in and I get 120kms on it.

    At least you didn't have to push it for five miles...

    I used to do that but I hated seeing the miles piling up so I switched to having the clock displayed instead... Not a good move then!

    Ran out of petrol - done, god it was a long walk with the africa twin
    Thinking the kickstand is down. - done & nearly killed emself on the bros
    Thinking you unlocked the disc lock - done, i warped the brake disk & had to replace the both of them on the AT
    Thinking you had your wallet with you but then realised after you fill the tank that you don't - done but i was only aroung the corner from my house
