This could be in the wrong forum - couldn't see a comedy forum so Mods move if ye need to.

Just back from the Diet of Worms live sketch show in Whelan's tonight. Have to say that I enjoyed it immensely. I've had some bad experiences with live sketch shows in the past but these guys were very good, great performers who had obviously worked on their material a lot.

Highlights for me were the prostitute 'mystery shopper' sketch (especially the closing line) - the 'definitely white guy' phoning into the Dublin radio station to debate about immigrants and the ex-couple meeting in the cinema with their new partners.

Great comedy all round and really looking forward to seeing more from Diet of Worms.

Anyone else at it? Would love to hear what anyone else thought.

I missed it cause I had to sleep :( My housemate's sister is in the group and he said the place was jammed alright. I'm really hoping they get a regular gig out of Whelans as a result.

If anyone's interested, they have a few of their sketches up on their MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/dietofworms

Dav - when you gonna learn? Sleep is for the weak.

It really was a great gig. Killo's sister was spot-on. I loved her Mayo-style Mammy bringing her son for a blood donation especially.

This may be so Cian, but sleeping during the day is an unavoidable by-product of night work :)
