This was in the Sunday Million tourney on stars. I've been on this table for about 40 mins and its been super tight. Every raise is either getting through or folding to a flop bet.

Blinds are 100/200. I have QQ in late mid position. Utg (about 10k stack) raises to 600. Folded to mp with 18k who raises to 2100. I have 8.5k...what next?

Ok this is probably a bad line but.......I just call and expect to have position on the hand and try and re-evaluate on the flop. If you end up throwing it away you still have over 6k with rounds costing 300 which is not a bad position.

Maybe you're better off either re-raising to get them to define their hands..?Or maybe you're better off folding and hoping for a better spot.
What a horrible situation. I can throw away JJ or TT here so easily.
If you have the red queens push - if you have the black qs call - if its a red Q and black Q then fold. They just don't belong together

The ladys can be so good and so bad to you.
I've found myself (as has everyone else I sure) in this position.

Lets say you call (this is what I would do) and the opener calls.
    QQ against 2 players.
What hands are you up against, AA/KK/AK/AQ or 77+ are a large % of the range IMO.
A flop with no Q and any 7,8,9,10,J,K or A puts you in danger.
IMO with no Q on the flop with an A or K there and it's fold to any bet.
    Bet if checked to.
(Lower pairs catching the set wouldn't be as much as a worry for me but it happens.)
This could be a weak play in a lot of players eyes but you still have a very playable stack with the lay down.

The best play may be to fold preflop but it's so difficult with ladys.
As said before 1010 or JJ is so much easier to muck, it must be a mental thing.

I am interested in getting the supposely correct line on this from the pros.

a lot of top pro players would fold here, I would find it very hard.

If you call, you'll have position, the raise utg is very strong and could be any pp 88+ to AK etc, the reraise indicates a top pair or AK, top pair been JJ +, a lot of players would have flat called here with JJ, so at best your racing, or miles behind.

Because of your stack size, you cant really afford to call, as its almost 25% of your stack and if the flop comes muck, you'll be hoping for a continuation bet, but you dont have great implied odds as you'll only get called by a better hand after the flop. So for me its a push now and hope to see AK by both players or muck. You can be pretty sure that the utg is going to call this raise also, so push or fold, really depends on players 2 reraising range, but if you push, QQ 3 ways is not a great hand.

Summary, in the stars million I would push as its a fast game at the start, so you need a stack to have any chance of making the money later.

Possibly relevant?? I had a similar situation in the 20kPPP guaranteed recently. I would agree with a wider range of hands being possible in tourneys.

    blinds 300-600 200ish players left

UTG raised to 1800 and UTG+1 shipped it for 7000+

I am in late position with QQ. My stack was only about 6000 and original raiser had me and and OP well covered stack 20000+. I nearly folded the damn lesbians to wait for a better spot. But I couldnt bring myself. (so true about jack and tens being easy to bin)

Anyway original raiser had QQ aswell and OP had KJ soooooted!!

KJ prevails with a flush. On a side note if it was just me and the other QQ in the hand he would have hit a Q high flush anyway so it didnt matter. Would have preffered him to win though than KJ!!

Anyway its a tough spot your in. Its easy to lean either way. Although a long time ago i ended up in a similar spot, Basically the 2 other players had AK and my lesbians held up!!
