Limerick/Clare musicians

Hi,
I’m a bored 25 year old ‘musician’, I play guitar while dabbling with piano, synths and mandolin. I have been recording bits and pieces of my own ideas in recent months.

I’m curious to know what musicians are around the area because the Limerick music scene is dead and boring (not that I ever thought it alive), middle of the road, crap rock. I’m wondering if there’s anyone interesting out there that may be open to the idea of beginning something good.
My influences are broad from rock/indie/alternative/electronic to the quiet and interesting songsmiths. Favorite bands of late would be Interpol, Arcade Fire, Muse, Ladytron, Modest Mouse, CSS, Klaxons and Howling Bells to name a few.

If there's anyone else like me who's sick of the boredom write back.

I dunno to be honest. I've never advertised to start a band before and I'm not sure I'll consider this as an ad... I was just curious to see if anyone would respond and what their feelings were and if anything interesting popped up I'd see what happens.

Howdy..pretty much same boat here..25, bored..play guitar and the piano a bit..some of the same tastes..Ladytron,goldfrapp, bjork,royksopp, Howling bells, da buck 65, yann tiersan..got a bit of a studio set up at home..my own stuff is mainly kind of wierd electronica with samples over it..always up for a jam..

I'm a 23 year old bassist, bored and need a band. I'll play anything but fallen for old blues and rockabilly recently. Give me a shout if you want to jam.
