Alba MP3 Player in Argos Question

I was thinking of getting this as a cheap mp3 player, nothing fancy but it seems to suit me, anyway, its memory can be expanded with an sd card and I've read in a few user reviews that it's limited to a 1GB sd, but I know that often devices can be compatible with a 2GB card but only say 1GB.

I was wondering if anyone has bought one of these and tested it with a 2GB sd or know of anywhere that actually confirms if it is.

    Thanks!

If the user reviews say that it's limited to 1GB SD as it's max, they may well be right. I work in a digital photo lab and the card readers in our kiosks seem to be incapable of recognising SD cards with higher capacities than 1GB also, so it doesn't seem to be all that uncommon a problem to me.

All in all, though, that deal from Argos (at £19.99 stg) seems to be pretty decent value to me for a 1GB player with an SD slot.

Thanks for the reply, I know that an mp3 player sold on 7dayshop.com (no internal memory, only external SD) is rated at 1gb sd maximum but some of the user reviews say they've had it working with 2gb. Still, I think I'm probably better off just getting the 1gb sd, better than getting the 2gb and it not working.
