This guy seems to be the biggest poker uploader on youtube that I've found. He had HSP done a day or two after it was shown. Some might find him useful anyway

According to Caro's book of tells, a conservative player is likely to watch their internet poker on

whereas a looser player is more likely to watch their internet poker on

7.19 - is THAT Chris Ferguson carrying two plates across the room?

its good fun spotting some of the players around the table like a young Cunningham and Sheikan with a full on mullet and tache etc. Excellent upload

I have seen fair few final tables of the main event and in every single one Hellmuth always seems to pop up, he occasionally mentions he won it before as well

Booming roar of approval from off-camera railbird (and Padraig % holder) Scott Gray for the river card in the showdown between Seidel and Padraig at final table.

    "Get in there!"

Did people notice lard ass Howard Lederer, he was fcuking huge.

I had to laugh at that too, 'I don't gamble'.

Is this the last of the old fashioned World Series? Did 2000 bring in the internet ticket holders? It seems like a world away....

cooker, i think Hellmuth is a fine tourney player but if he spoke to me in that fashion I would be most unkind. He's a raging narcissist with a deep mother complex but hey, we all got problems. So perhaps moron wasn't the right word, or, perhaps it was... :D

I looked up a few of the other names mentioned, the younger guys, and they seem to have drifted away from the tourneys.

Scotty N is still my fav: 'what u got baby!' great character.

Brilliant!! Noel Furlong (who had won $700,000 on a horse at 7/1 a month before the tournament): "I only play the competitions - I don't gamble". :)

how can you win 700,000 at odds of 7/1 tried to do the maths my head hurts

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,894 ✭✭✭✭phantom_lord

    100k at 7/1=... ;)

    800k-100k stake=700k profit.

hmmm, I'm guessing we've alot of work to do on that pot odds stuff........

well once you put on the stake its not yours anymore so youve either WON 800,000 or lost 100'000

Nice to see George McKeever finishing in 7th. The official film did not show the 7th, 8th, 9th finishers.

    Trivia
Noel Furlong, Clifton Lodge, Ireland. Clifton Lodge is his former residence at the edge of the Curragh, now owned by racehorse trainer, Frances Crowley, wife of jockey, Pat Smullen.

so if you go to the bookies in the morning with €100 place a few bets, collect, and leave with €100, in your mind you've won a €100? The stake is yours, so you either win 700k or lose 100k. bit surprising I've to explain this....

just seen, not a Fulltilt or poker stars Logo to be seen, seems better now...

    I think its brillant,
I played in Binions when I was in Vegas and I swear to god none of the dealers were under the age of 60, in fact one guy im sure was 80 +.

It's amazing from watching that how things have changed. when people got beaten (except hellmuth) they just got up, shook hands and walked away. No screaming and roaring from the guy collecting the pot and no throwing the toys outta the pram from the loser.

The guy with sunglasses all embarresed explaining how he got eye surgery and thats why he had to wear the sunglasses. Then the smoking while playing cards, oh the brillant memories sob sob.

I noticed that the players didn't turn their cards over even though they both went all in until the end. Mike "the mouth" certainly hasn't aged that much. The rest look completely different now.

Thats true about Matusow, though his hair has thinned immensly! And those glasses...lol.

Is that a younger Gus Hansen (with hair) around the 23:08 mark?

Was surprised to see how big Howard Lederer was, he was huge! But he was nothing compared to Brunson.
