Streaming Media Through Wii

    I set mine up over the weekend, and in principle its a great idea ... you can stream any media stored on your pc, wirelessly through your wii, and subsequently your TV. There are one or 2 issues i have with the streaming quality, but that might be fixed up hopefully.

    Is it really worth it though? Why would you want to do this? (Just wondering before I go to the bother of trying it out for meself!) Basically, is it just that you can view media on your TV? I would imagine it's just as good on your computer screen unless you have an amazing TV.

    yeah its only media ... at the moment anyway ... but you could always encode your dvd's to play in divx ... thats why i did this ... i only have a very small laptop 12.1 inches and the sound isnt great .... i wanted to play my movies on my 32" lcd without having to change discs etc. like i said its a great idea in principle ... i could also play my media from any other device with internet access streaming from my pc, when ... even when im in a different location to my pc as long as its turned on. Probably not very useful to most ... but i do like gadgets :)
