    Looking for a book on central heating systems how to install etc. Just by reading comments on the net that the "Collins Complete Plumbing and Central Heating" does not tell how to install central heating.

    Are you installing a new system or extending an existing one?

    Try looking for a book on basic plumbing, the principles for installing CH pipes are the same as for Hot & Cold water pipes around the house.

    There are books available solely for heating systems.

    Circulation ,flow rates ,heat loss all part of effeciency.
    Your local library should have some available.

    Probably best to just trawl the internet for an hour and print off anything interesting you find. The makers of equipment usually give detailed instructions in pdf on their sites on how to install their products and you take it from there.

    Plumbing is like everthing to do with building there are a thousand different ways of doing everything.
