Martial arts classes in Waterford City for kids?

    Hi,
    Does anybody know of any karate, kickboxing or judo classes for kids in Waterford City? We did try the place by the peoples park but they kept putting up their prices and were too expensive.:(

    Forget them. Too costly, haven't heard any sort of results from them either.

    Take your kids up to Billy O'Sullivans to train kickboxing in tycor jute factory. They'll learn realistic self defense there and Billy has lots of kids that train there. Alternatively, you could get in contact with the guys in the Ursuline for judo. AFAIK it's tuesday's and thursdays at 7pm for the kids, but you'd need to double check that. The guy who runs it is Mick Dowd. Check judoinfo.com to see if his number is on there. I don't have it handy.

    I second that Billy is a brilliant trainer. Great with kids. Place is always thronged with kids on a Tuesday and Thursday 5-7
