I heard on the radio this morning that there is increased effort being put into collecting VAT and import duty on parcels entering the county from US and Far East. Can anyone confirm or deny, please?

this is old news

they did a major clampdown on good over the value of €24 IIRC before christmas. It mainly affect customers ordering from the likes of cdwow and play.com

it only affects companies that do not pay the import duty to the government
