Just a recommendation: "Sucule" Barbera d'Alba. Fantastic Italian red wine. Available in McCabe's, near Blackrock. E17.95. I'm having it here with Venison burgers, but it was great on its own last night too. Don't fancy spending the bones of a score? Try Marks & Spencer's "Barbera d'Asti".
