    Hi all,

is curry paste something that I should be able to get in a regular supermarket, or will I have to go into one of the asian markets in the city centre to get it?

    Thanks :)

You can get Patak's curry pastes, which are excellent, in most supermarkets. They often don't have all different varieties that you'll find in the asian markets though, so if you're looking for a particular one you might be out of luck.

Yes pataks is very good. Have a good look if you cant find it. It is usually in & around the same section as the curry sauces but could be up with other small jars, or with the soy sauce. It is usually in a smaller jar since it is far less watered down than the sauces. So it can appear expensive "per gram" but in reality it is about the same since it is like comparing tomato puree to pasata
