Yup they buy it*. Mostly for 2 reasons:

1) A great financing deal with cash back was offered. (That's how most GMs sell)

2) It looks like a Winston Cup car. Which to some discerning folk is a good thing.

Def not America's best selling car, btw. That would be the Camry. Or the Accord. Depending on whether its an even or odd year.

I've driven this car in the US before on a recent training trip and its not a bad car. Its absolutely huge and the boot is simply enormous. Has a very nice engine , nice cruiser.
I think it is based on the Winston Cup car or the Winston Cup car is based on its shell.

That dealer is close to where I live. He gets all sorts of weird or unusual cars on his forecourt. I have seen a few used Mustangs, Camaros, etc there.

He also deals in huge imported American RVs such as Winebagos so I'm guessing he imports the odd nice car too. Not sure what kind of market is here in Ireland for these yank tanks but he does seem to move them on.

Nope. Not an ounce of truth in that one I'm afraid.

The days of Ameri-barges appear to be over. Most of the GM and Ford offerings actually stack up pretty well against opposition. Having said that, the example in question would probably be at the bottom of GM's pile.
