hmm i think i was the only dopey soul who went into town to look for this game after reading reviews online about it being fun, and wanting a racing game that was fun decided to pop in and get it, then baffled as to why none of the shops had it?...hmm so i got need for speed instead.. releasised then that after initially being a launch title it was put back without being said to feb this year..MAN!!!

lol hard luck on that it is meant to be a must by though for when it does come out. its due out on the 16th of Feb. I'm probably going to buy it as it got a brilliant preview in ONM.

what I like is how you can have your music in the backround and it has gotten good reviews but I wont be the 1st to buy it ill wait for some opinions of other people on boards

I never bought any racing games besides Mario Kart for the Gamecube so i'll pick this up either at launch or just after... if they give that sh*tty wheel accessory with it it can stay in the box.

I bought it on launch morn. I found it really really disappointing. The graphics are piss poor. It reminds me of another 'fun addictive' racing game I had for N64 - "MRC", ie imo it looks v. dated. Saying all that the controller experience is unique and promising, and the steering wheel that comes with the game is heavier and more solid than two other 3rd party wheels I've come across. There's a 2 player 'football' minigame which is a bit of fun and a demolition 2 player minigame which something like, but vastly inferior to GC Mario Cart's player v. player.
I've recently also played Toca Racing 3 for PC and Need for Speed Underground for PS2 and Carbon on DS. Excite is miles behind any of them imo.

I think you have the wrong game in mind. Excite truck isnt out over here until Feb 16th I believe....
You must have bought 'Monster 4x4 World Circuit' on launch.

I think so too, as Excite Truck doesn't come with a wheel!

maan, i just had it it my head that it was 'Excite'.

to clarify: Monster 4x4 is awful & I know nothing about Excite Truck.

I'm getting excite truck once it comes out, my bro played it at the toys for big boys fair and liked it.

You can bung some MP3s on an SD card and it will play them rather than the bland music. Some prodigy or something to get me truckin'.....
