Hi, I'm new to this board and I'm interested in finding a place that will re-upholster two front seats, they are currently in vinyl and badly cracked and worn, I tried places that make / re-upholster house seats but they claim car seats are totally different

Try Rory Callaghan in Walkinstown. Look up biz addresses in main phone directory or under upholsterers in golden pages. He has done two sets of fronts seats for me in the past. Very quick, good job, nice chap, reasonable rates.

Johnny Adidas, no they weren't, just vinyl with a cord-type cloth insert but i should add that the two jobs I asked Rory to do were just for repadding, as opposed to re-upholstering. The seats were perfect cosmetically, but the cushions were so flat I was literally sitting on the springs. Very uncomfortable.

But i got Rory's name from a fellow BMW classic owner who said he was great - had some old recaros re-covered in leather. So not sure how much he would charge for full re-upholstering (depends on the condition of the seats, which he would look at first before giving a quote) but he charged what i considered was a reasonable price for my jobs.
