Warpcon is running from Friday 26th at 5pm to Sunday 28th in University College Cork, so that's next weekend. You can check out the website at www.warpcon.com.

We have one of the best wargames schedules in years running. We have both 40k and Fantasy tournaments, as well as a Bloodbowl tournament. We have demos and a tournament from Privateer Press in both Hordes and Warmachine, we historical wargaming and Mongoose publishing will be running a demo for Babylon Five and the very first full demo of the new Victory at Sea wargame.. This is the first demo of its kind in Europe, even before Mongoose Publishing show it at their own events.

We hope to see you there.

If this could be changed to Warpcon XVIII and the dates changed to the 25th to the 27th of January 2008, it'd be great.

The lads have some of the planned wargaming events up on the site already.

    I'd edit it if I could, but I can't.

"Warpcon is running from Friday 25th of January to Sunday 27th in UCC Student Centre.

We have a special line up this year for Games Workshop fans. Apart from the standard 40k and Fantasy tournaments we'll also be running some stuff from the Specialist Games lineup. All in honour of our esteemed guest Jervis Johnson. There's also something about him smashing your models if the painting isn't up to scratch, but you'd have to ask him about that.

Anyway for more info you can check out http://www.warpcon.com where everything will be listed along with the non-GW wargaming, the roleplaying, cardgaming, boardgaming and the larping information."

The WarMachine/Hordes tournament has had to be cancelled because of lack of demand.

There will be some people with armies available for pickup games. So if you want a game, bring your army and come along.
