Sony MP3 player

    Hi can somebody help me please? I treated myself to a sony MP3 player the other day top of the range job ok. My problem is its not very loud, i mean my sony walkman is louder,like I can hear traffic when im out walking does anyone know if this is the norm with MP3player or is it just the Sony one. Can I not deafen myself if I want too? Please advise:confused:

    I don't know much about this but I know nearly all sony's have a function called something like alvs. This limits the maximum sound level output. If you turn this off you can get max volume. Hope this helps.
