Read the book and thought it was quite good alright, its very interesting to see how characters develop but I thought for 20 quid it was fairly short

Have to disagree - mr harris is only doing it for the money now - the book is just a novelisation of the screenplay he wrote

Its ****e and the film will be ****e too - come back Brian Cox all is forgiven...

From what I hear the French kid acting H.L. is meant to be pretty good; I'm looking forward to it but I wouldn't have hopes raised to high for it.

As a fan of all the Hannibal Lecter films (yes, even 'Hannibal'.. i, for one, don't know why people are so hard on it. First film i brought my girlfriend of almost 6 years to), i'm not too sure about this.

I haven't gotten round to reading the book yet but remember reading Hannibal on a 9 hour flight to Canada and being enthralled by it.

Anyways.. getting off the point here. As much as i hate to see it, i just don't think the actual subject matter from the trailer and such makes me look forward to it. Might change my mind given a bit more footage but just looks very passable for the time being.

This film will not let you down. Tis bit different to the others but very well done. The young Hannibal is played very well by Gaspard.

The main difference is that you will be rooting 'For' Hannibal, not against him.

I was always rooting for him.

How does it work? I mean from the books he was a Doctor by the time he started killing people so he was older. Then again i only read "red Dragon" and saw the movie of Silence of the lambs and Hanibal. I do not remember him being a teenage serial killer.

According to this, he joined medical achool shortly after his first killing.

I was in two minds coming out of this. I think it didn't really explain how or why he became "The Cannibal".
For someone who was so disgusted with the way that his sister had died, that he would choose to continue killing people to feed a blood lust, especially after he had exacted his revenge, just doesn't make sense to me. What happened after that? Why keep going?

    That said, Gaspard was great.
