    i am hopefully dreaming of one of these would i get culture shock economey wise if i up grade from a 1.8 laguna, thanks for your advise

    Was there a factory convertible? I think Baur may have done a conversion, though.

    There were factory convertibles alright.
    From James Taylor's book
    There were 200 of them, all LHD and pre-1971 models. they were made between Jan and June 1971
    (chassis # 2790001 to 2790200)

    Only 200? I wonder how many are left? I'm guessing the cost of buying one might make the extra fuel costs look like small change!
