Wrecked my Itunes!! Any Help

I have just simply wrecked my entire itune library that I spent absolutely f*cking ages getting right. I had all the Art Work got right and all the song names and artists. Anyway I copied a friends Ipod on to my Hard Drive about 6 months ago but never bothered to take any of the songs out of it. I can't even remember the program I used as I have since formatted the PC.

I had circa 1,200 songs in my iPod and by adding in my friends I have increased this to 1,800 however many of his songs and albums are the same as mine and he was very unorganised and when downloading a song would never add artwork or remove the album it originally came from before it was shared through Limewire. All I want to do now is a roll-back.

Can this be done? I just want to remove everything I just added as it is head-wrecking. The ensuing chaos has not transferred to my Ipod yet but when I connect it to charge it will as my flipping charger is awol.

Any help would be a lifesaver

This has almost reduced me to tears.

Update, just got the whole thing fixed, I did a google search and put my own ingenuity to work.

Solution for those who add a load of songs to iTune's and want to get rid of them without deleting each one individually.

Open iTunes, Click Edit > Click View Options > Put a tick in "Date Added" > "Date Added" will now appear at the top alongside Name, Artist, Genre etc. Click "Date Added" and it display all your music according to the date they were added to iTunes.

Now scroll down through the new songs over 600 in my case and find the last newly added song, A song I added on Monday in my case, Now put the first song of the grouping you added today playing by pressing play.

Hold Down the Shift Key and scroll down to the end of the grouping of songs you added today as I did and click it and all the songs in-between the song playing and where you clicked will be highlighted leaving only a press of the Delete key to get rid of them.

I nearly had a coronary there for a bit.
